WHAT YOU NEED
-pumpkin 1000 g
-water 1800 ml
-chillies &oil OR chili oil
-big fat sharp knife
-nice background music
ONE: le pumpkin
it’s okay to leave the skin as long as you give it a good wash :)
remove all the skin that looks suspicious though.
TWO: everything in a pot
and I’ve added a very little bit of leek.
THREE: boil it!
for 15-20 min. everything has to be soft – you can check by pricking into a piece of pumpkin
#savenature myth: using a kettle to boil the water and pouring it only afterwards in the pot is said to be more ecological as a kettle would use way less energy to heat the same amount of water.
IT’S NOT! although the kettle might use less energy, heating up the two recipients wastes a lot more energy.
FOUR: blend it!
don’t remove any water and blend until everything is nice & smooth. ADD chili-oil if you like :)
(this is homemade chili oil that’s usually used for pizza or bread – yeah, i love this stuff. )
FIVE: salt,pepper,basil and a spoon.
there you go!
be deighted, but wonder what to do with so many soup.
tip: a. invite me for dinner b. throw a party c.freeze it and save some for Christmas d.give it away to “foodsharing” or any local people. e.all of the above – possibilities are endless
